Illustration Friday: "Tea" [music edit]

The Bird Watcher
That's probably tea, right?

Now with some appropriate music...
Which piece fits best? I couldn't decide. It's all in how you look at things.

Comptine D'un Autre Été: L'après Midi
La Valse d'Amélie (Version Orchestre)
Les Jours Tristes (Instrumental)
all selections from Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain
by Yann Tiersen

I look on illustration friday periodically for inspiration and information. This is the first time I have seen any of your projects. I'm partial to birds so The Bird Watcher seems very appealing in many ways. He looks a little like Robin Williams, no? I've looked at some of your other work and really like the dramtic effects you create with big and small. Big hat and wings and itty bitty feet. Does he have a heart patch on the side of his coat? And a monocle. The wings remind me of a young adult book about a guy that lives in a child's garage and the kid eventually sort of resusitates the ogre back to health. In that book the ogre had wings too. Thanks for reminding me! I'll check back from time to time.

This is even better!
I like Comptine D’un Autre Ete the best...I am having floaty feathers and little birds swooshing around him...in my head...Lovely! Lily.

For me, the first one, Comptine D'un Autre Ete, fit it very well. Really awesome!

A fantastic piece, I just love the colours and the sadness to this, yes I hear Les Jours Tristes looking at this. Very effective work. Strangely I see something of my own life, too. The cup of tea in this painting gives me a good bite of hope.

There is a more than a bit of Fagin in your direputable angel. I would vote for Les Jours tristes.
