Illustration Friday : "Theater"

I enjoy staging pieces like a set. I like to compose them in a way that would, I hope, translate well to theater. I don't really have any ambitions for being a stage designer but I appreciate the art.

I'd like to see a production of this.

Daga and the Trolls
from Dag and Daga, and the Flying Troll of Sky Mountain

This piece is from my recent Grimm and Other Folk Tales show. You can see the other nine pieces for the show as well as the extensive development work here.

The colors are gorgeous, I really love the atmosphere in this. The trolls seem creepy and curious all at once. Awesome~

Lovely atmospheric picture--it so conveys the feeling I'd get from that kind of folk tale. WOnderful colors too.

Mom said you picked this one out for me--good work old friend, b/c it freaking rocks!
Wish I could've made it to the show but everything I've seen online about it has been awesome. Can't wait to get this framed!
