Poor, poor Mario 2. Well, as they say, "Always a Mushroom Retainer, never a Princess." Yet, even for all of it's oddities, Mario 2 manages a certain charm over me. I still enjoy the game quite a bit.

Mario 2 is different because it was not a mario game at the start. In Japan, it was released as a different game. They changed the main character for Mario and did an american release!
