Illustration Friday

"Lost"

Unless I come across anything else this will be it. Rough concepts for a publishing pitch at work. Not exactly having to do with lost, more just out and out destrution but well, he could be lost.

Cory, your drawings kick my butt.
IT STINKS AND I HATE IT!

Great illustration! I like a lot the expressiveness of the face and your use of the gray shades.

I like the rough, crackl-y-ness of the buildings.

What's the text box looking thing in the sky for?

This is a great image, love the multiple lines around his face and hair. He is lost in mind and spirit :)

the way the story goes, he brought about the destruction of his own city. which is pretty lost.

and the text box is just a rough reference for me to keep in mind that text has got to go somewhere.

Good lord, you are talented. His face is really compelling, and I also like how the ruined buildings are sort of curving away, like they are pulling back from him.

I'm so glad I clicked to enlarge... great line variation! And it does make me curious about what story would go with it.

Love this kind of Santa-lost!
Great render on all the hair stuff.
And great value and depth too in the little illo.

Very good work!

Hey, I'll say "wow" again, O.K.? How about 2 "wows". Much better than one!

no seriously- very cool and lively drawing.

I love the treatment of the face. He looks like he could tell quite a story. Very well done.

The best part (to me) are his iddy biddy eyes. I also like the expression in his face that suggests he might be a bit of a curmudgeon (wouldn't that be fun). I'd like to sit next to him in front of a roaring fire and try and steal his staff... just to get him to grumble idle threats.
