I saw a version of this illustrated by David Wenzel in Spider Magazine once. The troll-work was similar to that done in his graphic novel version of Tolkien's The Hobbit. This is better than that though.
I can't believe I haven't seen this before. I visited before and missed this altogether. Great work. I really like this. I would love to see the whole thing.

Looks great! The mountain range in the background glows with a subtle beauty.
Did you do a more detailed pencil sketch after the thumbnail pic you posted? Or, was the line art put together in Photoshop/etc?
