I just finished reading a nail-biter of a novella by M. John Harrison called "The Pastel City." It's a little sci-fi, a little horror, and in it there are these eight-foot-tall, energy-blade-wielding, well-nigh-invulnerable robots with "three glowing yellow points set in an isosceles triangle" on their faces. They destroy all in their path, threatening to consume the world, obliterating any who oppose them.
Eerily, I imagine they look a lot like ULTRA there.
I can tell those crushing hands will be coming for me in my sleep ...
