Ticket: title page

I was pretty certain with the cover for Ticket, but I'm a little less sure about the title page.

The light text or the darker text? Thoughts?

*Oh, and there's a tiny gray strip across the top of the one on the right. That's not really there, it's a little glitch in the screen cap.

i vote for dark text. it's much more readable and dramatic (in my thinking at least)

I vote for the dark text as well. The light text doesn't stand out as much as it could.

i have no shame being defiant. i like the lighter text. kinda magically floats there.

my vote's for the white one as well... both would work nicely though.

I'm actually torn on this one. If that bird were rotisseried, it would be abundantly dark meated, so I'm going to go with dark. Did I ruin the ending?

I think the lighter text looks nice, but the darker text feels a little more natural to me.

DARK! I'm not crazy about the "shadow" underneath the light text.

dark; I like the continuity.

Lighter. It fits the airy mood better.

light text and light bird.

I vote for the dark lettering. The lighter lettering seems to get lost in the watercolor wash. The darker color works well with the birdie as well.

I really think the black looks good. It stands out better from the background.
"Ticket" looks really sweet, and I hope I can get a copy. Really love your work. It's outstanding.

The dark text puts the focus on the bird. The light text puts the focus on the text. Which are you going for?

Ultimately I like the dark better.

Hope this doesn't confuse you:
1) like the bird on the left
2) like the background on the right
3) like the darker text for the title 'Ticket"
4) like the lighter text for "Portland etc"

I like the background on the right a lot. It goes from light to dark (which I think makes "portland" fit well with lighter text).

Either way great page!
