Last September I got a dream job. I got to work on the new Fraggle Rock comics. Needless to say the chance to do some work for The Jim Henson Co. blew me away. Today the comic is released and I'm pleased to share some of it with you here.
This is the part I was most pleased with – as I understand it from the editor, my illustrations were not just approved but “enthusiastically approved” and that my work was some of their favorite Fraggle Rock pages yet. I am so excited to be able to contribute to the Henson legacy even in this small way that I still can’t really put it in to words. It was a perfect project.
You can see the first two pages of my comic here (and posted below)
as well as a preview of the rest of the book here.
Next time I'll post some of the development work I did for this project.

And hey, I'm finally back with my regular blog updates. Several year end of 2010 and beginning 2011 projects waylaid me for a bit but I'm back with M/W/F updates.

Really happy for you that you were able to work with Jim Henson Co. Most definitely a dream job. Can't wait to see the development work.
Congratulations Cory! Awesome work :D
The pages look great Cory! It's really cool to finally get to see the final project. Jim Henson is one of my creative role models... he had a huge imagination. I'm going to try and find me a copy at the bookstore! Congratulations!
Congratulations Cory! What a cool opportunity :)
The Fraggle Rock comics are great. I didn't even know they existed until a friend gave me the trade for my birthday.
Nice work. Your pages are great.
Way to go Cory!
Also, I wanted to let you know that I've linked to you from my Curious Art blog, as part of a Stylish Blogger award. You inspire me!
