Great approach to the topic. I wish I still had my childhood drawings.

Cory, I remember the Taber drawings. You wanted a comic strip because I was always telling you that I had dreamed of having my own comic strip in my youth. Those old drawings of yours are why I pushed so hard to get you in art class in the seventh grade and off that piano. One of my better moments, I guess.

Pretty skilled for fourth grade I think. I have one (second grade) where I use my initials and turn them into stick figures playing on the swings.

Cool stuff! It's great that you kept your old drawings, I hope they bring you inspiration when you need it.

The eyes in your fourth grade piece in the last panel are outrageously funny!
Thank you for sharing so many wonderful pieces.

I remember mimicking those in elementary school. I think you sent me a bunch of drawings on the back of a letter before I came to school with you.

It had one of the muscular bulls that Mark had drawn and I thought it was the best drawing I had ever seen.

And then I mimicked the t-rexes you drew when you were on the jp kick for a little while (remember how Christy would watch that movie repetatively? weird).

anyway...I'm breaking comment etiquette and writing too much

ha! Christy and i would watch jurassic park til our eyeballs dribbled out of our heads down onto our chins. oh man. i was what, 10? 11? she was like 3? oh man. that's probably why she's so cool today.

i just remember her giggling like crazy when the lawyer got yanked from the toilet by the t-rex and in my foggy 11 year old brain I rememeber thinking: "is this really good for her to be watching?... well-- oh cool! more dinosaurs!"

hey have fun at that concert tonight.

umm...I think I was 12 and you were 13. And that would have made Christy 2. I think. lol. I bet that would scare her now.

I thought the smiley you put there was kinda dumb until I pictured you making that face...then it fit perfectly.
